"I first heard about Sallas Auto Repair, when I was going to apply for a job with them, years ago. Not sure what happened, but I never did apply with them, but spent 9 years in the auto industry. 4 years in Sales and 5 years in Service. My customer satisfaction index in sales was 100% and in service 97%. I treated each customer as if they were my family. And I wanted to be treated that way myself. When I found out that Sallas Auto Repair was coming out to Overland Park, I was excited, to say the least. I would finally get to see how they treated me, and I need to insert here, my wife as well. So far, I have not been let down. They do top notch work, and the prices are very reasonable. Plus and first most, they are HONEST and dependable. I have recommended Sallas Auto Repair to all my friends and family. I want to thank each member of Sallas Auto Repair for their dedicated interest in the customer and their vehicle. An example that just happened, is when I brought my car in for some service, due to the warning lights coming on. They had the car 2 days, and did see the problem, but when the car was on the lift, the problem went away, after they had checked the car out. They did not charge me a penny for this. Yes, I have spent lots of money with them for other repairs, but this takes the cake. They get my business now and in the future. Thank you, Sallas Walter J Fink"

My mom recommended Sallas (and I knew that if she was pleased, then they had to be GREAT!). I initially contacted John Blauw about a tire replacement. But, I also had an a/c problem, too, and had ordered a part at my dealership. When John told me that Sallas could fix my a/c, too, and offered to pick up the part at the dealership (I know, isn't that amazing?), I jumped at the offer. They even brought me home after I dropped off my car. My tire was replaced and the a/c works great. But, most importantly, John Blauw was SO nice and helpful and informative. I will always take my car back to Sallas and will happily recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks for the truly exceptional service!

I have been taking all my vehicles to Sallas Auto for about two years now and they do a great job! If your car needs attention in a certain area they let you know but they are not pushy like some of the other mechanics I have taken my car to. When I take my vehicles to Sallas Auto I know it will be done right the first time and they are 100% trustworthy. Thank you to John, Eric and the rest of the guy's!

I have been VERY impressed with the service I've received from Sallas Auto Repair. Their labor rate is one of the lowest in the city, and the work is excellent. They take the time to explain things and provide "inside" information to help me make repair decisions. Their website is phenomenal, and I like the ability to schedule appointments and ask questions via the website. For example, I asked a question via the website and received a call within minutes from Eric Atchley to answer my question and then schedule an appointment. The only negative thing about Sallas Overland Park, KS location is that they are so busy (I wonder why?!), appointments are scheduled several days in advance.

I took my car here for the first time recently. Very impressed by the professionalism and high degree of care shown. Received a very detailed analysis and recommendations. No selling you something you don't need. They've received high ratings on Angie's List, which is impressive. Thanks John and Eric. I'll be back!

I was in KC on business, and realized at 4pm on a Friday that I was having serious difficulty turning my steering wheel. I was scared to drive home and possibly harm my car more. I called two other mechanics and they gave me the runaround and refused to quote me prices or get me in that late in the day. I called Sallas after finding their number in the phone book and John listened about my problem, and told me to just bring it in and he would tell me if it was safe to drive home. I brought it in and he took the time to look at it (at 4pm on a FRIDAY!!) and immediately identified the problem as a power steering fluid leak. John promptly refilled my fluid, and also put in some extra fluid that would help stop the leak. The noise was fixed, and when I went to pay, John said that it was only something minor, and there was no charge! As somebody with no prior business at there shop, the folks at Sallas got me in at 4pm on a Friday, and fixed my car in ten minutes, and didn't even charge me for their time or supplies. Simply put, the best service I have ever had an auto shop, and possibly the best service I have had in any business in my life. Thanks John, you rock!

"So far, so good... Bought an oil change Groupon. Got an oil change. That's the extent of my experience with Sallas. So far, I'm impressed and get a good vibe from them. Will continue to use for all auto repair needs unless/until I discover some crazy problem. Here's why... (1) Front of the shop is professional and courteous. The telephone interactions and personal interactions I had at the shop were great. (2) Thoroughness. I got a Groupon oil change. At most places, that would become an "in and out as fast as humanly possible because we're not making any money on these things" proposition. I had told the Sallas folks that we were taking the vehicle on a long road trip and to give it a good once-over... They did exactly that. (3) No upsell. So, after the full inspection, the guy advises me that we do have one small issue. The guy explains exactly what's up, details what the repair process would entail, provides me with a parts/labor estimate for the work. Sounds like the usual "get 'em in here and sell, sell, sell" thing, right? Nope. He also explains exactly why there's no need for immediate action and that if the vehicle belonged to him, he wouldn't spend the money to tweak the minor deficiency. These guys knew I was taking the family truckster for a long-ass trip. They had me on the hook. They could've told me that I needed the work right away, knowing there was a good chance I'd reach into my wallet without pause. They didn't take advantage of that situation. So, right now, I'm digging Sallas. We didn't really have a regular mechanic for our vehicles... After this experience, I'm considering them our go-to people until further notice."

"Very nice and honest. Gave me options when it came to fixing a broken actuator in the steering column. Since money was tight I went with the quick fix. They also offered to pick me up when my car was finished. Good guys, I will be back."
